Meet our Instructors

Biographical info:
Bob Ohr is a certified classroom teacher grades  4-12.  He taught art, photography, film and video for 7 years as a classroom teacher.  After his teaching career, he was director of the " media/graphic lab" for Cincinnati Public Schools for 23 years.  He was responsible for all brochures, newsletters, and photography, film and video projects for the school system.  During this time he also had a free-lance photography business and did graphic design, photography and video projects for some of Cincinnati’s largest firms, such as The General Electric Foundation,  Proctor and Gamble, Children’s Hospital and The Christ Hospital and many non-profit organizations.  After his retirement in 2000, he worked as an artist in residence at one of CPS inner city schools and worked with second grade students to create video projects.  In 2009 he moved to Florida to be near his daughter and family.    Altho he has photographed everything from jet engines to brake pads, his passion has always been photographing people.   Bob has won over 82 awards for his photography and design.
Mary Ellen Ohr is certified in Biological Sciences and has a BA from Edgecliff/Xavier University.   She has graduate credits from University of Cincinnati, Miami University, Wright State, Barry University/ Florida, and San Jose University Ca.  She taught high school Ecology, Animal Behavior, Marine Biology, AP Biology, and Anatomy and Physiology for over 35 years.  During her tenure she arranged multiple world-wide field trips to Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the Caribbean, and the Bahamas.  She also arranged over 20 student field trips to Sea Camp at New Found Harbour, and Marine Lab in Key Largo Florida.  She also had students study at the Marine Research Institute in Bermuda.  She was also responsible for the development of an outdoor Life Lab at McAuley High school where she taught.

Casie Farrell has a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from Florida Institute of Technology and currently works with the stranding program at Hubbs- Sea World Research Institute. She has coached competitive gymnastics at private gyms and camps for twenty years. She has home schooled her 7th grade daughter for the past four and a half years.

Lisa Padhy is a  homeschool mom to two boys ages 5 and 7.  She is a stay at home mom since moving to Florida. She now lives in NJ and misses all her Florida friends and family :).
